Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Supporting the Strategy team with identifying and articulating potential growth opportunities for Mukuru
  • Working with the Strategy team to problem-solve in a semi-structured environment where lateral thinking is required
  • Designing and conducting strategic research, including market, customer, and competitor analyses
  • Formulating and presenting evidence-based recommendations to senior decision-makers in order to reach business goals and achieve strategic objectives
  • Working with various departments to design go-to-market strategies for new products and markets
  • Supporting the Head of Product Incubation in developing and launching new products
  • Liaising with and influencing both internal and external stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives
  • Executing chosen initiatives efficiently and effectively, whether it be building and presenting business cases, mapping out process flows, or investigating new partnership opportunities

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Bcomm /BBusSci or other commerce degree preferred)
  • Strong investigative primary and secondary research skills, including the ability to synthesise and present key insights
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to break down a problem and solve it strategically
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to, as well as influence, both internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to quickly learn new skills and deepen your knowledge of the fintech industry
